Update Released!
January 24, 2008 11:29 am Development, GeneralAfter a little bit of delay, an update to Rhydhun has been released. Among small bug fixes, it fixes 2 major issues:
* Fixed 12 min song stopping issue
* Added authenticated proxy support
Rhydhun will prompt to update automatically at the next login, but Users behind authenticated proxies will not be able to auto-update Rhydhun. So, please download the update from http://download.rhydhun.com/deploy/in/current/rhydhun-setup.exe instead.
I am now working on getting a Mac and Linux version released, along with improvements to the playlist.

Rhydun asked me whether I wanted to download an update. Upon downloading and installing the update I no longer see my playlist!! No warnings were displayed.

data download is very slow, songs stop playing.
also when one makes a playlist, there is a long interval between the end of one song and the beginning of the next one.

Thanks for fixing the auto login issue. But now I keep getting this authorization status while a song is playing, hence the song stops inbetween. Hope you fix this. Finally, so far I like using Rhydhun. Thanks!!!

Hey Anand,
This is single best music player i have ever seen. Thanks for inviting us for the preview of it.
Couple of suggestions.
1. Provide feedback comment box in the player itself. Easier to collect feedback from the beta users.
2. When an album has no singer, music director etc. information, the player displays all the information from the previous song that was played. To re-create this bug, just play any song which has all that information and then play Swades - background score. Swades - background score will have all the infomration from previous file.
3. Allow us to rate the songs. And then use that information to come up with recommendation for us and/or use that for creating top 10 list. I am sure this must be a to-do item in your list.
4. Jodhaa Akbar stream cannot be found. (not a major problem)

Quality
i noticed that the quality of the music is very low,it sounds as if its encoded in a 96k format, can anyone confirm this ?
I would like for the quality of the music to be improved,if its up to par with http://www.rhapsody.com i will subscribe for it.
Please provide any available info for me, current and future plans concerning the quality of the music.

Anand, first of all let me congratulate you on this wonderful effort.
I am having a problem, I upload my play list and then leave it running playing all the songs. Suddenly after 2-3 songs the player stops and tells me that it has logged me out because of inactivity for some time.
Please remove this bug, I wan to listen to all my songs even if I am not playing around with the player all the time.
Thanks.

Anand:
Excellent music quality. I have provided some feedback and comments in the past.
A bug I noticed in the latest version.
Where you diplay song name, singer, musician, lyricist, etc - the second and third lines are not initialized with every song and it retains the values from previous albums or songs that you may have played.
The issue: If the song you are playing does not have info for the 2nd and 3rd line in your data base, it displays whatever was in these lines from before. This may not be related to the current song.

Good work - I have been enjoying Rhydhun for over a month now.
There is virtually no “contacting” delay and the buffering is very fast at home (MTNL Broadband - Direct) but at work (VSNL Broadband through LAN)the buffering used to be equally good initially but now for the last two weeks it takes quite some time “contacting” and recently many times it returns a message “Data Corrupted - invalid h-reads(F)”. Is this due to some kind of firewall or is it a system error at Rhydhun?
Thanks Irtsahs

Friends,
This is graet “Rhydhun”. Love it. After last update has been fantastic. I end up listening to rhydhun everyday at work. It just plays in background.
However over last 2-3 weeks quite a few albums / songs etc does not play. It comes up with dialogue gox can not connect to server, check your connection etc. It does play some albums. So obviously connection can not be at fault. Don’t understand the reason why it would have such glitch. It was fantastic a month ago.
Hope you can sort it out.
Thanks for such wonderful Indian Music experience.

Hello,
I cant open Rhydhun player. It asks to update and closes the window after updating repeatedly. If I cancel the request to update, the window closes also. How can I restart? I miss listening music on Rhydhun.
Thanks

I tried Rhydhun today and its really. Definitely looks better than Music India online and raaga. sound quality is pretty good. I havent explored much. But looks like rhydhun had great potential to reach places in future.
